All at Eyewitness Tours wish you a thoughtful and commemorative 99th anniversary of the first Armistice Day. On this day Passendale was falling to the Canadian Corps while actions were taking place around the world in which many men died, some of whom were lost forever.

I will be at the Menin Gate on this 99th anniversary commemorating the men of my grandfather’s battalion, the 1/1st Hertfordshires, who are named on the Gate, as well as all of the others, from many countries who are remembered at the Gate and elsewhere on the battlefields of WW1 and other periods.
